A student who attends Leicester High School has been diagnosed with Pertussis (also called whooping cough) on May ll, 2017. While most students are immunized against pertussis, it is important to watch for symptoms and if you don't know the status of your child's immunizations, to contact your physician to make sure vaccines are up to date. It is important to note that only one case of pertussis has been confirmed and that this one case is limited to Leicester High School. Principals are sending more detailed information home to families through email.

Future Search II
Over 80 people attended Future Search II, where we gathered ideas for strategies for improving our schools. The Future Search held 4 years ago generated goals that we adopted these past 4 years. It's now time to reassess our progress and set out on new heights. A summary of the event and data can be found on this link. In May, a small group will write action plans using this information. The action plans will be presented to School Committee at its June meeting and then will be adopted by the district.
